COMMON QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS Isn’t it against my rights to be tested? Is it legal? My company is afraid of testing because if we test we would lose half of our employees. I think this is an invasion of my privacy? Testing can reveal problems. How do we handle these issues? It sounds like testing costs lots of money. What are the costs? What I do at home is my own business. I’m against testing. My concerns are that testing will reveal medical problems that don’t affect safety and I don’t want my employer to know about my illness. My prescription drug will show up in the testing process. Drug testing does not indicate a level of use or when the drug was used. I would rather work with someone who smokes pot than someone who drinks. The above questions are a sample of the questions and concerns raised by employers and employees.
